Our Story

The Gombe State Ministry of , Trade, Investment and Tourism was restructured in 1996 to strengthen the Gombe State economy, drawing inspiration from successful models in both developed and emerging economies such as the Federal Ministry of trade, other state and parastatal. This restructuring expanded its scope, adding investment promotion to its portfolio—an area that was previously outside the remit of the former Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Today, the Ministry plays a critical role in driving industrialization, promoting trade, attracting investments, and supporting economic diversification. Its policies and programs are designed to create a business-friendly environment, support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and position Gombe state as a competitive player in the global market.
